Tailored |
Using the core concepts and materials from an existing program and carefully re-writing
certain portions to fit the unique settings of a client organization. Typically the most cost effective and fastest way to
deliver an existing "off the shelf" program.
Example: Using the Relationship Selling program offered by HROutfitters with
changes made to job titles, sales situations, customer situations, examples, and skill practice situations to reflect your
organization.
Example: For a large nationwide bank we prepared a participant workbook using business
banking situations with "Relationship Managers" who call on "small business owners and CEO's" to sell them "cash management
and lines of credit". Results included increased revenue by Account Manager, improved customer satisfaction ratings, and cross
selling opportunities for other products and services. |

Customized |
Starting with a clean slate. Conducting a needs analysis to determine the skills
or specifications needed; and designing a training approach, system or program targeted to those needs exclusively for a particular
customer. Customizing ensures complete alignment with the unique needs and setting of a client organization.
Example: A large national healthcare organization wanted to prepare its "Account
Managers" to improve their ability to 'increase revenues' by expanding the 'utilization of services provided'". HROutfitters
conducted interviews with the CEO, senior management team, incumbents, customers, and staff. Combining this with existing
research a training program design was developed and presented to the client. A joint design team finalized a program that
was piloted, adapted, and rolled out to Account Managers. Results included increased business from existing customers, greater
confidence among Account Managers to initiate discussions of new business opportunities. |
